My Story
Allow Me To Set The Record Straight
I am living proof that a way will always be made for those who believe it is possible. I didn’t just start off as an Atlanta based, serial entrepreneur, signed actress, author, and motivational speaker. I worked towards it.
Painting The Picture
I grew up in Chattanooga, TN as a middle child who was a home-schooled, anime watching, online role-playing, kpop dancing, tennis and ultimate frisbee playing, theatre enthusiast. The blessing that pulled all of that together was my mom, and her determination to save me from the rat race.
I was 15 when my mom gave me a copy of “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki, the gateway to my obsession with personal development. I spent a lot of time checking out the “self-help” section at our local library and attended real estate investing seminars with my mom. She helped me further my spiritual development as well through exposing me to “The Secret”, the Law of Attraction, and even teachings from the Kabbalah. My father was a pastor as I was growing up, so I already had a religious foundation, yet now I had a more rounded view and realized a key component.
Taking Responsibility For Changing My Life
Instead of dating, I became the secretary of the theatre program I attended, and then president for 2 years in a row. When my friends were looking at getting high school jobs, I was negotiating being a work study student for an on-camera class I couldn’t afford. That deal lasted 5 years and lead to me landing my first agent. When my friends were picking out colleges, I was freelancing as a brand ambassador in surrounding cities to expand my contacts and skill set.
Then, in my early 20s, I became homeless. While this could have devastated many, I knew it would all work out, and so I continued with my path, performing, and freelancing for a few months before my then-boyfriend-now-husband asked me to move in with him. He lived in Atlanta, a city that I frequented and had vowed to move to 3 years prior. I jumped on the opportunity with nothing but a suitcase and a $250 blessing from my dad, which immediately went into a secured credit card.
Started From Scratch Again
This time, had more freedom to truly find myself without mediating family or friends’ matters. Throughout those years, I beefed up resume as an actress and experiential marketer, I started my own businesses, dived deeper into my spirituality, got married, and even holistically overcame a life altering illness.
Now I’m living in the type of neighborhood I use to dream about, can wake up whenever I’m done sleeping, and get to help others find themselves and their passions as well. Life is good and it’s only just now getting started.
I don’t believe in coincidences. I had to experience everything I did so I could be able to share with you today. Just as you have a dynamic series of events that led you to this site. So let’s make the most of this divine encounter, shall we!
My Values & Beliefs
Always do your best
A wise man once told me, if you don’t have time to do it right, you have time to do it twice. While each day may be different, I strive to remain present to give my best effort. Time is precious, and acting with intention and focus leads to better work, and helps avoid wasting time redoing a rushed job.
You get what you expect in life, not just what you want
When I learned that whatever I believed to be my absolute truth became my reality, I started getting intentional with my expectations. So much of life leads to ” I called it!” moments. Whether we’re calling out predictions for something we prefer or disapprove, a magical part of us will ensure we’re right.
Treat others the way you want to be treated
The Golden Rule shows up in every interaction. Until I learn your personal preferences, I’m always going to treat you how I wish to be treated; with respect and compassion. There’s no need to judge someone before you know their side of a story.
Create win/wins whenever possible
In a world filled with so much abundance, negotiating wins for everyone involved stays at the forefront of my mind. We all have value to share and something to give. Most of life is just figuring out how best we want to do that. So whenever I collaborate or work with others, my focus is on helping us all shine. There are no vertical relationships. We’re all just doing the best we can with the time we have.
How I See It
I like to think of myself in the construction business. I build people up. Who cares if we just crossed paths in the grocery store or at the grocery store, if I see something about you that I admire, I’m going to let you know. If I notice you seem to be low, I’m going to look you in the eye and find a way to bring a smile to your face.
Life is an absolute gift! When we dwell on the past or get lost in future fantasies, we tend to forget how precious the present truly is. That’s why I like to point out the good in each moment. To remind you of how awesome you are.
The spark of life and light that makes us fall in love with the beautiful landscape of the world lives in ever living creature, including you. In short, the light in me recognizes the light in you.
You may not feel like you’re glowing as much as you used to, and that’s okay. The road of life is long and filled with detours. It’s only natural that headlights get a little dusty along your journey.
Allow me to help you wash away the lies and limits you’ve adopted over the years to help you rediscover how phenomenal you truly are.
It may take a mindset shift for you to feel aligned with your authentic self…which can be awkward at first. That too, is alright. I’ll love you where you’re at, and we’ll work through your roadblocks together.
You got this. I believe in you. Now let’s work on you believing in yourself!
